Taking effective breaks during your revision in the run up to exams is important. You should always try to plan to take one day off a week during revision and to budget in a bit of time to relax and mull over your topics (without cramming!) before exams begin (see our revision planning guides). Here are some ideas of activities taking place around Oxford that might help you to relax and de-stress during this time of year.
The Gardens, Libraries and Museums at Oxford are running FREE activities in Trinity term to help students unwind and take a break from the pressures of revision and exams. Book online!
The Oxford Mindfulness Centre offers weekly workshops on cultivating mindfulness to promote overall well-being. Learn more.
If music helps you unwind, consider joining a singing group. Harris Manchester College has set up a new singing group to explore a broadly secular, a capella/partsong-style of music. The group meets Thursdays from 7.30 to 8.30 in the HMC chapel, and the group is open to anyone in Oxford. Contact John Dunston, HMC Director of Music, with enquiries.
